A 2D grappling hook based platformer built in C++
My sophomore year student project was my first experience with working primarily to support the needs of artists and designers. In the past if I had worked with an artist at all the nature of the cooperation would be they would just draw a quick thing and I’d drop it in the game. With this project, the primary focus of my attention was making sure their work shone.
I also built the rope swinging mechanic, and spent a lot of time tweaking and trying to make it feel as good as possible.
